Derek & Caroline Sneak Peek!

Just yesterday I  saw Derek and Caroline commit themselves to eachother. The day had all the elements that say true love – Beautiful bride, emotional cerimony and  intimate reception surrounded by people who so obviously treasure this couple.  Here’s a sneak peek before Derek & Caroline head off overseas! Enjoy your honey moon guys!

Cat Ba Island + Ha Long Bay – Part V

After what felt like an episode of The Amazing Race we finally landed on Cat Ba Island, just south of the famous Ha Long Bay. The mini bus carried us over precarious winding roads and past land slides amidst a landscape resembling that of Jurassic Park. We spent a few days here, exploring the island on motor bikes-finding hidden valleys, wild lonely cliffs and the ever surrounding sea. If you ever find yourself in Cat Ba, you must pop into Tra My Island Seafood – that menu is in now in discernible English thanks to us! Another must is a junk boat tour out to Ha Long Bay. You appreciate your insignificance as the boat takes you through thousands of islands sticking their necks out of the ocean. It’s beautiful, still and peaceful, and the fog that shrouded the rock faces added to the majestic aura of the place.

The Other half

I was just down at my farm and wanted to take a few shots of my lovely wife… 🙂

Back to the roots…

So this is where my love of photography began… Going nowhere in particular with mates and taking the camera. The Adventure days.

Hanoi stop over – Part IV

A 4am arrival to Vietnam’s capital saw the realisation that we had grossly underestimated the temperature difference within this country. Here we were , two shivering back packers in the pitch black night after a 18hr train ride sitting with the locals. But the light of morning revealed a somewhat sleepy capital – with the beautiful lake in its heart. Take time to lose yourself within the old town- we certainly did!!

Hoi An – the mid point Part IV

Lots of friends told us to come here, the highlight of their trip. To us it was a little dimmer than Dalat, but not to be missed! This place has a great evening vibe, where they shut down the main street from traffic allowing only pedestrians, very unusual that you feel safe walking round Vietnam! The streets were shimmering with lanterns everywhere. Here are a few of the things we saw! Enjoy!
